Anne’s first investment in the stock market occurred when she was just 6 years old when she inherited £500 from her great-grandmother. Invested on her behalf by her parents, they kept her updated with her quarterly dividend returns and capital accumulation. She dreamed of one day living from the income of her investments.
In the meantime she studied Business Studies at university with her first job being in banking. Throughout her 20s she added to her portfolio with blue chip shares but was frustrated by her lack of knowledge, well aware that her money could be working harder for her – if only she knew how.
Soon after meeting Javid in 2001, they decided they wanted to exit the rat race, and so looked for ways to invest the portfolio more wisely. However, it soon became clear that they were much more suited to the mentality of a trader than that of a long term investor. In 2002, while Javid decided to trade fulltime, Anne continued to work in a variety of roles and in a number of industries as Javid taught her what he had learnt when he returned from each course he attended.
Finally, in 2005, Anne achieved her childhood dream of making a living from the markets. She left her job, and begun trading full time from home. In doing so she realised another, newer dream of spending every day with her partner, Javid. Every day spent with Javid is a day well spent – as anyone who had been mentored by him can attest.
